Well Christmas has come and gone and we all had a really nice time.  Well by all I mean Ann and I, Gemma Ian and Ryan,, Mary and Alan, Sheila and Chris and Dave and Michelle!  We bought a turkey that was sized like an emu so I am still eating my way through it (it’s a good job that I really like turkey)…

And just because I can here are the latest pics of my grandkids :-)

It has been talked about on many occassions in the past but Gemma and Ian finally decided that they would like to try moving to Manchester (well Salford really) to be nearer to Kim and Corinne and the rest of the northern clan.  They actually moved up there at the end of May (so they have already been there for 3 weeks).

Needless to say this is a blow to both Ann and I as we now only get to talk to Ryan (and Gemma and Ian) on the phone and we really miss them all especially the little man.  We are aiming to go up to see them shortly but it is just not the same as seeing them all as we were used to doing – almost every day :(

We went for a tour around the place that Gemma is planning to get married in, Chilston Park, and very nice it is too. The place is a 17th Century country house set in two hundred and fifty acres of pleasant countryside and dense woodlands … and we will have exclusive use for the day and night of the wedding.

iMacI finally got rid of Windows altogether! Treated myself to a new 24″ iMac … luverly.

The old PC went to Gemma and Ian, and their old one went to Rachael, so that made lot’s of people happy.

I haven’t missed windows at all and can do everything that I did before, only easier.

Ann, Gemma and I went to see the film “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” at the cinema last night.

This was the funniest film that I have seen in many years. At times my whole stomach and face ached from laughing.  There are times when this film makes you want to cringe and deep down you know that it is anything but “PC” to laugh … but then you just go with the flow and enjoy the humour.  This film is a real breath of fresh air in today’s PC, nanny-state we live in.
